We are called to be Christ’s loving arms in the world

ONE SERVICE THIS SUNDAY

9:30 AM: Outdoor services will be held all summer, weather permitting. A blend of our 8:30 and 10:30 service styles. With Eucharist

To our neighbors and friends,

The Black Lives Matter sign that has stood on Saint Anne's lawn for the last four+ years, representing our public witness to the Gospel’s call for justice and mercy, and the sacred responsibility to stand with those who have been denied their full dignity, was recently taken down. This decision was made solely due to weather damage, not any change in our commitment to racial justice.

As members of the Episcopal Church, we are bound by our Baptismal Covenant to “strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.” This is a lifelong commitment, rooted in the teachings of Jesus, who reminds us: “Just as you did it to one of the least of these… you did it to me”.

We remain committed to standing for racial justice and affirming that Black lives matter. We are discerning how best to continue our visible witness and invite you to walk with us in this ongoing work of reconciliation and justice. In short, we are putting together ideas for how best to refresh this signage, and want to reassure our community that the BLM message will return to our grounds, hopefully bolder (and more weather resistant) for the future.
